Speaking to The Telegraph India, Arijit Singh’s father said, ‘Our ancestral house was near a blacksmith. But after partition, my father and his 3 brothers came to Lalgola. After this we shifted to Jiaganj. Arijit’s music journey started from here. He used to go to the Gurudwara with his mother Aditi Singh and sing kirtan there. It’s fun. I love it when people ask what your son is doing. Now what is his next project? I am proud.
Arijit Singh is no more in Mumbai
A childhood friend of Arijit said, ‘Arijit has an apartment and office in Mumbai but he likes to live here. His children Jul and Ali go to the local CBSE school here. He wants to give more time to Tatwamasi project. Then Arijit Singh’s father Surinder Singh said, ‘This is a quiet place. My son also could not stay in Mumbai and came back here. He has a connection with the soil.
