A major accident took place in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday (21 February). A bunker vehicle slipped off the road and fell into a canal in Dagpora area of Soura, in which 9 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured. This accident happened near Umar Hair on Dagpora Road in Ahmed Nagar.
According to ANI, the driver had lost control of the vehicle. Due to this the car slipped and fell into the canal. Initially 7 injured CRPF soldiers were taken to the hospital. However, later two more injured soldiers were brought to SKIMS Soura for treatment. The condition of all the injured soldiers is said to be stable.
Injured identified
Officials said that several CRPF soldiers have been injured in a road accident in Dagpora area of Srinagar. The injured soldiers have been admitted to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences for treatment. The injured soldiers have been identified as Naginder Singh (36), Ajit Kumar Ram (36), Raj Kishore Rai (40), Amit Kumar Yadav (38), Rajdhan Ram (55), Mankar Kumar (40) and Neeraj Kumar (45). Officials have confirmed that all the injured are in stable condition and have suffered multiple injuries.
Infiltration attempt failed in Rajouri
A day after an infiltration attempt was foiled in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri, security forces recovered a large number of arms and ammunition during a search operation conducted on Friday. According to officials, this recovery was made during an intensive search operation in Nathua Tibba area of Sunderbani sector along the Line of Control.
Officials said that soldiers have marked blood stains in the area, which indicate that the infiltrating terrorists have been seriously injured. During the search, security forces recovered AK-47 rifle, two magazines, three rucksacks, blankets, ration and clothes and many other items.
