Attempt to attack Khamenei’s house! Revolutionary Guard killed 100 Mujahideen-e-Khalq fighters

Amidst the ongoing tension between Iran and America, there have been reports of clashes near the Tehran headquarters of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Tehran. Iran’s Mujahedin-e-Khalq (MEK) organization claimed on Monday (23 February 2026) that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has killed 100 of its fighters. MEK organization is currently active against the Khamenei government of Iran.

Attempt to attack Khamenei’s house

According to the report of Iran’s state media Tasnim News Agency, Mujahideen-e-Khalq fighters had come to carry out the operation near Khamenei’s headquarters when they clashed with the IRGC. The MEK said that more than 150 of its fighters returned safely to their bases late at night. The organization said it would hand over the names of the killed and injured fighters to international human rights organizations. According to the MEK, there were 17 cameras operational, some of which had been deactivated.

Mujahideen-e-Khalq claimed, ‘A large number of Khamenei’s supporters have also been casualties. A large number of ambulances were seen arriving at the compound after the clash with the IRGC. Al-Akhbar confirmed these clashes and described it as one of the most dangerous operations carried out by the MEK in Iran with the support of foreign intelligence agencies.

Statement of Mujahideen-e-Khalq

MEK said, ‘There were clashes with Iranian government forces from Monday morning till noon, in which more than 100 of our Mujahids were martyred or some of them were detained. These clashes started in Khamenei’s office at the time of morning prayers. Al-Akhbar’s report claimed that the MEK was trying to infiltrate the Motahhari complex. However, he was already foiled.

According to the report of Tasnim News, MEK has not paid attention to the fact that US President Trump is trying to take advantage of other countries. Khamenei’s government considers Mujahideen-e-Khalq as a terrorist organization.
