Actress Ayesha Khan recently made a shocking revelation. Last year, Ayesha, who was seen in the special number ‘Shararat’ of Aditya Dhar’s film ‘Dhurandhar’, told that she was thrown out of a song only because of her body size. She also said that she is sexualized daily on Instagram and even receives rape threats.

While talking at the ‘We The Women’ event, Ayesha told that when she was in 12th class, she was cast as the second lead in a song of T-Series. But just a night before the shoot, she was replaced by calling her ‘fat’. When asked if she ever felt pressured to look a certain way, Ayesha admitted that it took her a long time to feel confident about her looks.

Ayesha further said, ‘I am sexualized about my body on Instagram almost every day. If I wear a normal top then people have problem, if I wear a skirt then also problem. I have to think before posting anything. If I have to think before wearing clothes or posting something just because someone will look at me in a bad light, then it is very sad. Sometimes I think of posting whatever comes to my mind, but sometimes I don’t feel like reading such nasty comments in which people write what they would do with me if they get a chance.
Ayesha receives rape threats
Ayesha further said, ‘If the people who comment like this had the power, they would probably have done what they wrote. What scares us is that these are not just words, they are real people who live around us. I receive rape threats almost every day. I wish some strict steps are taken against this. Many times these things make my old wounds hurt and I feel afraid that if I did not have the identity and strength I have today, something might have gone wrong.
