Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 is most talked about because of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, because both the legends are going to play in this tournament after years. Both the giants will be in action on the first day of the tournament on Wednesday, 24th December, Delhi will face Andhra and Mumbai will face Sikkim. But there is bad news for the fans, there will be no live telecast of the group matches of Delhi and Mumbai.

Virat Kohli, who is included in the Delhi team, will play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy after 15 years, he last played in 2010. Mumbai player Rohit Sharma is also going to play in this tournament after 7 years. Ever since the availability of these two became known, fans were eagerly waiting to see their matches. Meanwhile, earlier news had come that the Delhi vs Andhra match in Bengaluru will be held in an empty stadium, entry of fans will be restricted.

No live telecast of Delhi and Mumbai matches

The Delhi vs Andhra match will be held at the BCCI Center of Excellence in Bengaluru, in which the entry of fans will be restricted. Earlier this match was to be held at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, where 11 people had died during the stampede at RCB’s victory parade. Fans will not be able to see Virat live in the stadium, now fans will not be able to watch his match on TV either. According to the report, there will be no live telecast of Delhi’s group stage matches.

Like Delhi, Mumbai’s group matches will also not be telecast live on TV. Mumbai’s first match is with Sikkim on 24 December. All the matches of Mumbai in the group stage will be held in Jaipur.

Will fans get entry into the stadium in Mumbai match?

According to the report, fans will get entry into the stadium in the Mumbai vs Sikkim match, this match will be played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will play only the first 2 matches for their respective teams. Rohit and Kohli have retired from Test and T20 Internationals, they play for the country only in ODI format. India’s next ODI series against New Zealand will start from January 11.
