Next year’s Asia Cup will be held in Bangladesh
Let us tell you that Bangladesh has to host the Asia Cup next year i.e. in 2027. Due to India, this tournament can be shifted to Sri Lanka or Dubai because India can refuse to go to Bangladesh. If the tournament is shifted to some other country, it may cause huge loss to Bangladesh.
However, no official information has been revealed in this regard by BCCI and Bangladesh Cricket Board. There is no official information regarding the series between the two which has been postponed to September 2026. Three ODI and three T20 International matches will be played in the series.
Controversy started with Mustafizur Rahman
It is noteworthy that the dispute between India and Bangladesh started with Mustafizur Rahman. IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders had bought Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman for a price of Rs 9.20 crore. After this, as per the instructions of BCCI, the franchise released the Bangladeshi player. From here the controversy escalated and Bangladesh refused to play against India in the T20 World Cup.
