After the death of Sharif Usman Hadi, one of the key leaders of the rebellion in Bangladesh in July last year, incidents of protests and violence took place in various parts, causing tension across the country. However, no violent incident was reported on Friday morning (19 December 2025). Earlier, the protesters vandalized 32 Dhanmondi, the residence of Bangladesh’s founder Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, which had already been demolished. Apart from this, a Hindu person also died.
Former Bangladesh government minister Mohibul Hasan Choudhary’s reaction has come to light on this serious issue. He said, ‘Sanatan minority is being attacked in the entire country, they are being targeted. Pakistan style violence is happening in Bangladesh, Army is doing everything. This attack was carried out by a mob with Jihadi mentality.
Mohibul Hasan Chaudhary further said that the general elections are being delayed in Bangladesh. This incident should be investigated. People with Jihadi mentality are working. Media house was also attacked. There was a Jihadi attack, there was a Jihadi mob. This incident is the result of a completely planned conspiracy because there are elections in Bangladesh. Elections will not be conducted properly.

Sarjis Alam, a prominent NCP leader, said, “Until India returns those who attacked Hadi, the interim government will have to close the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh. If not now or never. We are at war.” In Dhaka, protesters attacked the office of Chhaya Nat, a prominent cultural group, and took out furniture and set it on fire. There are reports of violence from other parts of the country also.
