After the demise of Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, his last tweet is going viral on social media. In the tweet, he had paid humble tribute to Lala Lajpat Rai on his birth anniversary. However, now this post is not visible on Ajit Pawar’s page.
Ajit Pawar posted this on social media platform X at 8.57 am. He had written in the post, ‘Hundreds of thousands of salutes to Punjab Kesari Lala Lajpat Rai ji, the great freedom fighter, pioneer of Swaraj, who sacrificed everything for the country’s independence, on his birth anniversary! His patriotism will always inspire us. This incident happened near the post itself, that is, we were in the plane at that time.
This post is no longer visible on Ajit Pawar’s X page, now his last post is visible from Tuesday (January 27, 2026), which he made after a high level meeting in Mumbai. In the post, Ajit Pawar said that ‘PM Setu’ scheme will be implemented in industrial training institutes, which will provide relief to the interested youth. In the first phase, it will be implemented in industrial training institutes in Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and Pune districts. In the later stages, other institutions of the state will also be included in it.
He also said that Trades Receivable Discounting System (TReDS Platform) will be launched for settlement of long pending payments of contractors. This is for micro, small and medium contractors associated with Sivudha Public Works Department.
Ajit Pawar had also said in this post that Jawahar Shektari Cooperative Sutgirni will be revived in Dhule, for which a recommendation has also been sent to Delhi. He said that the lease period of government land allotted for various purposes will be extended. It has also been decided to waive stamp duty on purchase and sale of enemy property under the control of the Central and State Governments.
Ajit Pawar died in a plane crash in Baramati, Maharashtra on Wednesday (January 28, 2026). He was traveling from Mumbai to Baramati in a private jet to attend a public meeting amid the ongoing elections of Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis. Government employees – a personal security officer and an attendant were also present with him in the plane. Apart from these, there were also two crew members – Pilot in-Command and First Officer, in total five people were on board the plane and all of them died in the accident.
