Relations with Virat and Rohit deteriorated
In the RevSportz Conclave, Gautam Gambhir was asked what thoughts were coming to his mind when there were talks in the media about the deteriorating relationship between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Gambhir was asked how he deals with such situations. Gambhir did not answer the question directly, but also defended himself.
Gautam Gambhir said that he is also a human being and he too might have made many mistakes in the last 18 months. Gambhir said that wrong decisions with right intentions are acceptable, but wrong decisions with wrong intentions are unacceptable. The coach said in clear words that as long as he remains honest with the players in the dressing room, he will be able to look them in the eyes and talk to them. Gambhir believes that he is doing a good job as a coach.”
