Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wore traditional Indian clothes before dinner with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday (February 25). He has shared his video on social media platform X, in which it can be seen that Benjamin Netanyahu is wearing a mix of Indian and Western clothes.
Benjamin Netanyahu wore a light gray sleeveless jacket over a white full sleeve shirt, which looks like a traditional Indian jacket. Along with this, he wore dark colored formal pants and black formal shoes underneath. He posted in Hindi on X that before our joint dinner, I surprised my friend Prime Minister Modi by wearing traditional Indian attire.

Modi became the first PM to address the Knesset
PM Modi addressed the special plenary session of the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) in Jerusalem. With this, PM Modi has become the first Indian Prime Minister to address the Israeli Parliament. Upon reaching the Knesset, Speaker Amir Ohana welcomed the Prime Minister and gave him a formal honour. PM Modi started his address by thanking the speaker for the special honour. He expressed gratitude for being awarded the ‘Speaker of the Knesset’ medal and dedicated the medal to the enduring friendship and shared democratic traditions of the two countries.
PM Modi spoke in depth on the ancient civilizational ties between India and Israel as well as a strong modern partnership based on technology, innovation, defence, security and strategic synergy. He said that cooperation in areas like agriculture, rural development, water management, sustainability and enterprise has taken the relations between the people of the two countries to a new height.
Offer full support to Israel
Reiterating the firm policy of zero tolerance of both the countries against terrorism, PM Modi expressed his deep condolences on the terrorist attack on October 7 in Israel. He said in clear words that such cruelty and barbarity cannot be justified in any way. He offered India’s full support to all efforts that ensure lasting peace and stability in the region.
