West Bengal Weather Update: The effect of cold wave still persists in West Bengal. Despite the slight increase in temperature, the cold in the morning and night is troubling people. According to the Meteorological Department, at present there is little hope of getting relief from the cold in the state.
Slight rise in temperature in Kolkata
The effect of cold wave has not reduced in Kolkata, although a slight increase in the minimum temperature has been recorded in a day. The minimum temperature in Kolkata on Thursday was 11.6 degrees Celsius, while on Wednesday it was 10.3 degrees Celsius. That means the temperature has increased by about 1 degree in a day. Despite this, the temperature remains 2.3 degrees lower than normal, due to which cold is being felt in the morning.
The Meteorological Department estimates that there will be no major change in the minimum temperature in the districts of South Bengal for the next 3 days. After this, a slight increase in temperature is possible for two days, that is, it can reach around 20 degrees Celsius. However, after this the temperature is expected to remain stable again.
Cold wave continues for five days
There will be no significant change in the minimum temperature in the districts of North Bengal for the next 5 days. There is a possibility of light to moderate fog at many places in the morning.
Light to moderate fog may be seen at some places in South Bengal on Friday and in selected areas during the next 4 days. Due to fog, visibility will be low in the morning and people have been advised to be careful while travelling.
