A case of alleged gang rape of a 19-year-old private college student has come to light in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. A complaint in this regard has been registered at Amritahalli police station and the police has started investigation. According to the complaint given to the police, the victim is a student of a private college located in Bannerghatta. She has alleged that in January this year, she had met a young man named Dixin through Instagram, who is said to be a resident of West Bengal. A conversation started between the two and after some time the accused made a love proposal, which the victim accepted.
According to the complaint, on the evening of February 14, the victim had gone for dinner with one of her female friends. After this the accused called him to meet him at a private villa in Jakkur. The victim alleges that during the conversation there, she was forcibly given a pink colored tablet, due to which she became unconscious. After this, accused Dixin and his friend Nikhil allegedly raped her.

The 19-year-old victim has also alleged that the next morning after the incident, her boyfriend Dixin’s friend Nikhil threatened her and made her go. While leaving, he told the victim that if she told or talked about this incident to anyone, she would be killed. Due to fear and shock, she remained silent for some time, but later she gathered courage and informed her family about the entire incident and lodged a complaint with the police. Amritahalli police have registered the case and started a detailed investigation to confirm the facts. Police say that further legal action will be taken based on the investigation.
