A road rage incident in the western part of Bengaluru allegedly turned into sexual assault, following which the victim woman has lodged a police complaint. According to the complaint, the woman was traveling from Srinivasnagar Circle to Peenya II Phase GK on her scooter. Was heading towards the layout. Due to a pothole on the road near Sumanahalli Junction, she was slowing down the speed of her scooter near BB Bar, when an unknown bike rider approached her from behind.
What allegations did the woman make?
It is alleged that the bike rider first got angry due to the woman not giving way. After this, he abused the woman and allegedly touched her inappropriately. The woman says that she shouted loudly for help, after which the accused fled from the spot on a bike. This incident is said to have happened in a public place and in the presence of people.
Police started investigating the case
Based on the complaint of the victim, the police have registered the case and started investigation. CCTV footage of the surrounding areas is being scrutinized to find out the exact sequence of the incident. The police have taken the accused into custody and further action is underway.
