‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ fame actor Mohsin Khan is a popular TV star. Some time ago he gave an interview with his brother Sajjad Khan. During this he talked about his acting journey. He also reacted to the role of Tapu in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He told that before the show Tapu was not Bhavya Gandhi.
Who is Taarak Mehta’s first tapu?
In a conversation with Aleena Dissects, he told that his brother Sajjad Khan was the first Tapu.
Mohsin Khan told that Sajjad Khan is the first tapu of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. While telling the whole story, Mohsin said, ‘Acting started in our house because of my brother Sajjad Khan. Let me tell you the whole story. We lived in Kandivali. We were like a middle class typical society.
‘So when they shot the pilot of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, it happened in our house. Apart from this, there were two-three more houses. Because the producers wanted that kind of society. So that later they will shoot in that society only. Whoever was playing the role of Tapu had some date issue that day, I don’t know what it was. So the first tapu in the pilot shoot is Sajjad Khan.
Then Sajjad Khan says- I have scenes in the pilot shoot. Meetings and shortlisting also took place with the channel. My dialogue was also my audio in the first episode. Mehta uncle ball do no. He used my audio. But then again the same school, studies… Papa said to study.
So Mohsin says that he had cast someone else also. The big school pretender came. So Sajjad said that he was told that son, concentrate on studies.
Let us tell you that Sajjad Khan did not make his career in acting. He is a businessman.
