Big action by Mumbai EOW, FIR registered in case of alleged fraud of Rs 110 crore from Godrej Properties.

In the case of alleged fraud and breach of trust of Rs 110 crore by Godrej Properties, Mumbai EOW i.e. Economic Offenses Wing has registered a case against the promoters of Shree Siddhi Infrabuild Company. This action has been taken after the complaint of Nisarg Vinay Pandya, Senior General Manager of Godrej Properties. The Economic Offenses Wing can call the accused for questioning soon.

Against which people was FIR registered?
The names of those against whom the police has registered FIR in this case are Mukesh Patel, Kalpesh A. Patel, Kalpesh B. Patel, Jasmine Mukesh Patel, Shree Siddhi Infrabuildcon LLP and Shree Siddhi Infrabuild Pvt. Ltd.

Fraud took place between July and August

According to the complaint, this fraud was committed between July 17, 2017 and August 15, 2025. There was an agreement between Godrej Properties and the company of the accused regarding the development and loan of Godrej Garden City (Celeste) project in Gujarat.

It has been claimed in the complaint that the funds have been misused. The accused misused the loan of Rs 57.30 crore sanctioned by Godrej Properties for the project and the amount deposited from flat buyers.

The accused diverted part of the project amount for personal gain.
A total of Rs 279.02 crore was received for the project. Out of this, instead of using Rs 110 crore for the construction of the project, the accused diverted it for personal gain. Not only this, the accused are also accused of violating the provisions of the RERA Act and the terms of the development agreement.

FIR registered under these sections

After the initial case was registered at Vikhroli police station, considering the seriousness of the crime and the huge amount involved, it has been handed over to the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW). A case has been registered against the accused under sections 318(4), 316(2), 316(5) and 61(2) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS).
