Indian cricketer Ravi Bishnoi has got a big relief from Rajasthan High Court. The High Court has put an interim stay on the effective action of the notice issued by the Transport Department. The notice issued by the Sawai Madhopur District Transport Officer (DTO) was challenged, after which the court has put an interim stay on the proceedings.
District Transport Officer Sawai Madhopur had issued a notice to Ravi Bishnoi on December 18, 2025, regarding his vintage scooter (registration number RNY-0056). Ravi Bishnoi filed a petition challenging this notice, while hearing which, Rajasthan High Court, assessing the circumstances, gave a stay on the effect and operation of the notice.
The court also directed the defendant to maintain the status of the registration certificate of the concerned vehicle on the Vahan Citizen Service Portal. So that the petitioner does not have to face any kind of administrative inconvenience.
It is noteworthy that in recent times, the action of the Transport Department regarding registration of old series vehicles has intensified in the entire state. For this reason, similar notices have been sent to many vehicle owners. In such a situation, after this order of the High Court, everyone’s eyes are on other matters.
On behalf of the petitioner (Ravi Bishnoi), advocates Muktesh Maheshwari, Yuvraj Singh Medatiya and Manoj Kumar Panchariya presented their case before the court. The next hearing of the case will be on the appointed date.
