Signs of change from political perspective
BJP’s victory is now being considered a big change from the political perspective of the state. Firstly, Thiruvananthapuram is the administrative capital of the state. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor is also the last four-time MP from this place. With this victory the political equations have completely changed.
Which party won how many seats?
Of the 5 municipal corporations in Kerala, 4 have been won by the Congress-led UDF, while one each has gone to the LDF and NDA. Talking about Municipal Council, UDF has won 54, LDF 28 and NDA has won one. In District Panchayat, LDF has won 7 and UDF has won 7.
