BJP MP Nishikant Dubey made objectionable remarks on Pandit Nehru, said in the Parliament

During the discussion in the Lok Sabha, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey made objectionable remarks on former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and the Gandhi family. He said that Rahul Gandhi has held Parliament hostage for three days over an unprinted book. He said, ‘I have come to Parliament House with 100 books in exchange of one book of Rahul Gandhi. The history of Nehru-Gandhi family’s deceit should be revealed to the country.

Nishikant Dubey said, ‘How the country was divided with Mountbatten and Edwina and how Nehru used to sit with Edwina and give all the information about the country. Rahul Gandhi ji, you have held the Parliament hostage for the last 3 days over an unprinted book. There should be debate in the House even on some printed books. The history of Gandhi-Nehru family is of lies, deceit, corruption and country breakers.

The BJP MP said, ‘All these books have been banned by this Nehru-Gandhi family. The entire Congress party has harmed the country. The country has been given to corrupt people and people who break the country. The Gandhi-Nehru family feels that they are the kings of the country and they are still living in monarchy. We want all these books to be discussed as well.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi reached Parliament on Wednesday (4 February 2026) with a copy of the unpublished book of former Army Chief MM Naravane and, citing a part of it, claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had not discharged his responsibilities when Chinese tanks were moving towards the Indian border. He said that if Prime Minister Narendra Modi comes to the House, he will gift him this book.
