Andhra Pradesh Rape News: An incident that shocked the society has happened in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, where a young man raped his own minor sister several times through deception and blackmail, due to which she became pregnant. The POCSO court of Vijayawada has given a strict and historic verdict in this case, sentencing the accused to life imprisonment.
The court has sentenced the accused to remain in jail till death and has also imposed a fine of Rs 6000 on him. Also, the court has directed the government to provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the victim from the state government.
Raped by blackmailing with pictures
According to the police, there was a dispute going on between the husband and wife in a family in Prakasam district, due to which both were living separately. The father lived with his son in Pantalur village of Kondapi mandal, while the mother was living with her two daughters in Mantada area of ​​Krishna district.
In the year 2023, the 21 year old accused youth reached Mantada saying that he had come to meet his mother. There he became closer to his 17 year old sister and took her photographs. Later, he blackmailed her with the help of the same photographs and raped her several times. The victim was threatened that if she told anything to anyone, her photos would be made viral. Due to fear the girl did not tell anything to anyone for a long time.
Fake marriage arranged by wearing amulet
During the Christmas celebrations of 2024, the accused went to Mantada and took his elder sister to Vijayawada on the pretext of taking her to his father. There he tied an amulet around her neck in a church and married her. Later he took her to Hyderabad and raped her several times. After a few days, the mother called her son and asked him to send his sister to her. In February last year, the accused left the minor girl at Ongole bus stand and went to Hyderabad with her father.
The truth was revealed in the hospital
A few days after reaching home, the girl fell ill and when her mother took her to the hospital, the truth came out. When the daughter was interrogated, she told her mother about the atrocities committed by her brother. Gudivada DSP Dheeraj Vinil had earlier arrested the accused from Pantalur on the complaint of his mother. The hearing of this case was recently completed in the speed trial court. Vijayawada POCSO Court judge Justice V. Bhavani gave a sensational verdict and sentenced the accused to life imprisonment.
