BMC Election Results 2026: Zero in 22 cities and double figures not even crossed in Mumbai, Raj Thackeray’s party MNS is in bad shape.

BJP alliance is moving towards a unilateral victory in the Municipal Corporation elections of Maharashtra. For the first time, BJP seems to be getting majority in Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray’s parties had a disappointing performance in this election. Bharatiya Janata Party emerged as the biggest force in the BMC elections and its alliance got a decisive lead. Raj Thackeray’s party (MNS) does not seem to be even reaching double digits. Not only this, the party’s account was not even opened in 22 cities.

Big majority for BJP alliance

Raj Thackeray, who talked about Marathi Manush, was completely wiped out in the elections. In Maharashtra, elections were held for a total of 2869 seats in 29 municipal corporation areas including BMC. BJP is leading in 1064 wards while Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena is leading in 282 wards. In Maharashtra Municipal Corporation elections, Congress is ahead on 222 seats and Raj Thackeray’s party is ahead on 12 seats.

Out of 227 seats in Mumbai, MNS is ahead in only 5 seats. Out of 122 seats in Kalyan-Dombivli, Rajthakere is ahead in only 4 seats. Here BJP and Eknath Shinde‘s Shiv Sena is maintaining a huge lead. Whereas Raj Thackeray’s party is leading on only one out of 131 seats in Thane. There are total 122 seats in Nashik, out of which MNS is ahead on only 2 seats. Raj Thackeray Party candidates are ahead on one seat in Navi Mumbai, three seats in Ahilyanagar and one seat in Ulhasnagar.

Raj Thackeray’s party remained zero in 22 cities

Raj Thackeray’s party does not seem to be getting a single seat in Pune, Sambhajinagar, Kolhapur, Sangli-Miraj, Mira-Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar, Bhiwandi, Panvel, Nagpur, Parbhani, Jalna, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Solapur, Malegaon, Jalgaon, Dhule, Ichalkaranji, Nanded, Latur, Amravati, Akola and Chandrapur. Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS together contested elections in a total of 227 wards of BMC. Here, MNS had campaigned vigorously on some of the seats on which it was contesting. Here the party seems to be getting only 5 seats. Raj Thackeray had put full emphasis on Pune and Nashik because it is also considered to be Raj Thackeray’s stronghold. Here also the party seems to be getting only 2 seats.
