Bollywood News: ‘O Romeo’ teaser created a stir, is Shahid-Trupti’s story inspired by the underworld?

As soon as the first teaser of the much-awaited film ‘O Romeo’ directed by Vishal Bhardwaj was released, there has been a storm of discussions on social media. The dark and intense avatar of Shahid Kapoor and Trupti Dimri in the teaser is surprising the audience. Especially the line “Inspired by True Events” written at the end of the teaser has further increased people’s curiosity. After the teaser was released, social media users have started speculating whether the story of the film is inspired by the famous incidents of Mumbai underworld. According to some theories, Shahid Kapoor’s character is said to be similar to notorious underworld figure Hussain Ustra, while Trupti Dimri’s character is being linked to Sapna Didi, who once took a stand against the underworld. However, no official confirmation has been given on these speculations by the makers of the film. But Vishal Bhardwaj has always been known for his truth-driven stories featuring complex characters with shades of grey, which is adding fuel to these discussions. Powerful actors like Nana Patekar, Vikrant Massey, Tamannaah Bhatia and Avinash Tiwari will also be seen in ‘O Romeo’.
