Breaking the ceasefire agreement signed in Doha, Pakistan once again carried out air strikes at 7 places in Afghanistan at midnight. Pakistan started these attacks around 12:30 in the night, in which the first attack took place on the Madrasa located in Barmal city of Paktika province of Afghanistan.
After the missile attack by the Pakistani Air Force, the debris of the Madrasa is visible everywhere. Also, after the attack by the Pakistani Army in the month of Ramzan, the religious books kept in the Madrasa were also destroyed, which the local people were seen showing after the attack. Apart from Barmal in Paktika province, Pakistani army also carried out air strikes on Urgun, Khogyani, Ghani Khel, Behsud city and two cities of Khosht.
This is Pakistan’s fourth air attack on Afghanistan since September last year and this is Pakistan’s second air attack on Afghanistan after the ceasefire declared by Qatar and Turkey in October 2025.
What did Pakistan say about the attacks
Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued a statement claiming that Pakistan has attacked a total of 7 camps of Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) and ISKP located in Afghanistan. Also, according to Pakistan, be it the terrorist attack on Imambargah in Islamabad or Bajaur or today in Bannu, all this was done by their handlers sitting in Afghanistan, due to which Pakistan has carried out attacks in Afghanistan.
Suicide attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
In Bannu area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region of Pakistan, Majlis Aksari Caravan, the proxy group of Tehreek-e-Taliban, carried out a suicide attack on a Pakistani army vehicle using a motorcycle. In which 4 soldiers including Lieutenant Colonel Shahzada of Pakistani Army were killed. Last Thursday, TTP attacked the post of Pakistani paramilitary force Frontier Corps located in Malang Madrasa in Mamund tehsil of Bajaur district, in which 14 soldiers were killed.
Afghan government’s reaction
There is currently no response from the Afghan government on the Pakistani attacks. In such a situation, it has to be seen what truth Afghanistan tells about Pakistani air strikes because even before this, from September to November, Pakistan had carried out three air strikes in Afghanistan in the name of attacking TTP positions. In this, instead of terrorists, 71 innocent Afghan civilians were killed, which included players of Afghanistan’s domestic cricket team, apart from 18 children and 27 elderly people.
