Sunny Deol’s much-awaited film ‘Border 2’ was released in theaters on 23 January. This war drama has received a lot of love from the audience. This film is performing well at the box office even after 28 days of release. Even Shahid Kapoor’s new release ‘O’Romeo’ has not been able to do well with this film. Now it has successfully completed four weeks in theatres.
Amidst all this, if we talk about the film’s earnings, ‘Border 2’ had earned Rs 224.25 crore in the first week of its release. In the second week, ‘Border 2’ earned Rs 70.15 crore and in the third week it collected Rs 23.35 crore. After this, the film collected Rs 80 lakh on the 22nd day, Rs 1.9 crore on the 23rd day, Rs 1.4 crore on the 24th day, Rs 60 lakh on the 25th day, Rs 80 lakh on the 26th day and Rs 55 lakh on the 27th day.

Border, released in 1997, was directed by JP Dutta. The film was made on a budget of Rs 12 crore and earned Rs 66.70 crore, which was almost six times more than its budget. Whereas the cost of Border 2 is said to be Rs 275 crores and it has earned Rs 324.35 crores in 28 days of its release. In such a situation, Border 2 has not been able to earn even double its budget, but due to earning more than the budget, this film has proved to be a hit.
