Vipul Amritlal Shah’s sequel, ‘The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond’ released in theaters this Friday evening after facing a lot of controversy and legal troubles. The film had a slow start but saw a huge jump in its earnings on Saturday. Then on the third day too, a rise was seen in its earnings. However, compared to its prequel The Kerala Story, its box office performance does not look special. Let us know here how much collection this film has made on the fourth day of its release i.e. Monday?
‘The Kerala Story 2‘ How much did it collect on Monday?
‘The Kerala Story 2’ earned Rs 75 lakh on the first day. On its second day on Saturday, the film showed a growth of 520 percent and collected Rs 4.65 crore. On the third day, the film jumped by 2.15 percent and did a business of Rs 4.75 crore.
- On the fourth day i.e. first Monday, the film earned Rs 2.65 crore as per the early trend report of SACNL.
- With this, the total earning of this film in 4 days has now become Rs 12.80 crore.
Did ‘The Kerala Story 2’ recover half the budget in four days?
Let us tell you that ‘The Kerala Story 2’ has been made with a budget of Rs 28 crores. The film has earned more than Rs 12 crore in four days of its release. That means it is just a few crores away from recovering half its cost. Even in the Monday test, the film did not perform very well but it is expected that the film will recover its budget and reach the safe zone. The interesting thing is that this film is also getting competition from other releases like ‘O’Romeo’, ‘Border 2’, ‘Mardaani 3’ but it is maintaining its hold at the box office.
‘The Kerala Story 2’ vs ‘The Kerala Story’ four days collection
In 2023, its sequel is maintaining a slow pace at the box office compared to ‘The Kerala Story’ starring Adah Sharma in the lead role. Let us tell you that the earnings of ‘The Kerala Story 2’ are much less than the collection of the first film in four days. In fact, according to the report of SACNILC, ‘The Kerala Story’ had collected Rs 43.50 crore at the domestic box office in four days of its release. In such a situation, there is little hope of the sequel surpassing the total of the first film.
