ICC can take these 5 tough decisions on Pakistan
1. Complete ban from the tournament.
2. The annual revenue from ICC can be stopped.
3. PCB may be asked to compensate Jio-Star for the revenue loss.
4. Bilateral series banned, WTC points and ICC rankings may be affected.
5. All foreign players (except free agents) may be banned from playing in PSL.
PCB will have to compensate for the loss of Jio Star
Pakistan may be banned from playing in ICC tournaments. Apart from this, it is possible that whatever money was given by ICC for his help, it may also be banned. PCB will also be asked to compensate Jio Star for the loss incurred due to the absence of the match between India and Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. Generally the advertising rate for India-Pakistan match is between Rs 25 lakh to Rs 40 lakh per 10 seconds. Due to this, advertising revenue loss could exceed Rs 200 crore.
International players will be banned from playing in PSL
The biggest loss to the Pakistan Cricket Board can be caused by the ban on the Pakistan Super League, which generates revenue for it. According to sources, ‘Except retired players or free agents, current foreign international players may be barred from participating in the PSL. Apart from this, the PCB will also have to compensate the revenue loss caused to ICC’s host broadcaster Jio-Star, which could run into millions of dollars.
If ICC bans Pakistan from T20 World Cup 2026, then Uganda will take their place, but this will be decided only after the board meeting.
