By 1:30 pm, there was an improvement in the market and the Sensex was seen trading at 73,719.54, up by 400.27 points or 0.57%, while the Nifty 50 was seen at the level of 22,867.75 with a gain of 154.65 points or 0.68%.
Let us tell you that on Monday the Indian stock market started with a decline. Benchmark index Sensex was trading at 72,965 points, down 353 points or 0.48 per cent. Nifty is also trading at 22,613 points with a decline of 100 points or 0.44 percent.
While there was a rise in Asian markets, American markets closed showing a mixed trend. However, last week a good rise was recorded in the major indices of Wall Street.
It is noteworthy that the Indian stock market was closed on Friday, April 3, 2025 due to Good Friday. Earlier on Thursday, the market recovered from the initial fall and closed with gains for the second consecutive day. On that day, Sensex closed at 73,319.55, up 185.23 points or 0.25%, while Nifty 50 also closed at 22,713.10, up 33.70 points or 0.15%.
