A case of assault on a retired soldier and getting him to transfer Rs 30,000 has come to light in Gurugram, a cyber city adjacent to Delhi. A retired soldier was going from Sector 5 to Sector 60 of Gurugram. Meanwhile, the retired soldier’s car collided with another car from which some youths got down and first pulled the retired soldier out of the car and later snatched the keys of the car and beat him up.
The havoc of the bullies did not stop here. After the fight, they got Rs 30,000 transferred from the retired soldier to their account through UPI. After this the retired soldier lodged a complaint in Sector 50 police station of Gurugram. After the complaint, the police took action and arrested five accused in this case.
What is the whole matter?
When the retired soldier was going from Badshahpur Chowk in Gurugram towards Faridabad Road, his car collided with a vehicle. After this, the bullies in the car beat up the retired soldier and got Rs 30,000 transferred to his account. However, after receiving the complaint, Gurugram Police took immediate action and arrested five accused by evening.
What information did the police give about the incident?
Gurugram Police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar said that after the car with the retired soldier was crowded, the miscreants in the car first broke the glass of the retired soldier’s car. Its headlight was also broken with a beer bottle. After that he beat up the retired soldier fiercely and later got Rs 30,000 transferred through UPI. Acting immediately after receiving the complaint at Sector 50 police station in Gurugram, the police have arrested five accused in this case.
They have been identified as Pankaj (age-23 years) resident of Niganiwas district Rewari, Vikas (age-21 years) resident of Bagthala Rewari, Nikhil (age-21 years) resident of Masani Rewari, Sahil (age-22 years) resident of Khedi Talwana district Mahendragarh and Ankit Kumar (age-22 years) resident of Khedi Talwana district Mahend.
Gurugram Police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar said that when the arrested accused were interrogated, they told that they had come to Badshahpur to attend a wedding ceremony. During this time his car collided with the car of a retired soldier. Police spokesperson said that accused Pankaj, Sahil and Ankit work in Nippon Company Rewari. Vikas is studying in BA second year and Nikhil is studying in B.Com second year. At present, the five accused have been kept in custody and will be presented in the district court tomorrow.
