Amidst the controversy over the new rules of UGC, Kalki Peethadhishwar Acharya Pramod Krishnam has given a big statement on Wednesday (January 28, 2026). Giving his reaction on the matter, he said that some forces are conspiring to weaken the country by dividing it in the name of caste, religion and class, whereas what India needs most today is unity and social harmony.
He said that in the present time there cannot be any bigger issue than the unity of the country. Discrimination in the name of caste and religion is not acceptable under any circumstances.
Appealed to PM Modi and Central Government
Actually, Peetadhishwar Acharya Pramod Krishnam of Kalki Dham had come to Shyamnagar village of Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh to attend a condolence meeting. Here, while interacting with the media, he appealed to the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Government and said that concrete and effective steps should be taken to strengthen the unity and social harmony of the country. It is very important to end the discrimination spread in the society in the name of castes. During this, he also said that the responsibility of uniting the society is not only of the government, but also of every person of the society.
Acharya Pramod spoke on the controversy of Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati
On the other hand, Acharya Pramod Krishnam, while giving his reaction on Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand controversy, said that the police and administration should have acted with more restraint and wisdom in this matter. He said that the issue which was earlier limited to the state level, has now taken the form of national level. Which is a matter of concern for Sanatan Dharma.
Kalki Peethadhishwar said that some powers are deliberately fanning such issues so as to weaken the Sanatan traditions and create confusion in the society. In such a time, all the saints, religious leaders and responsible people of the society should come forward with restraint, discretion and unity. He said that India is a country full of diversity, but its strength lies in unity.
Expressed condolences on the demise of Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar
At the same time, he also expressed deep grief over the demise of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in the tragic accident in Maharashtra and called it a big loss for the country’s politics and public life. Also prayed for the peace of the departed soul.
