Supreme Court: Hearing regarding the problem of stray dogs is going on in the Supreme Court. During this, the court once again made it clear that all the parties will be given full opportunity to present their suggestions on this issue, so that a balanced and practical solution can be found.
During the hearing, senior advocate C.U. appeared on behalf of dog lovers. Singh presented his side. He argued that if stray dogs are removed, it will increase the number of rats and monkeys, which may create new and serious problems in the future.

Commenting on this in a lighter vein, the Supreme Court said, “Cats are considered enemies of rats. That means, if rats have to be dealt with, the number of cats should be increased.” Senior advocate C.U. Singh further said that locking dogs in shelter homes is also not a solution as it can increase the risk of spread of other diseases. He argued that such an arrangement would complicate the problem rather than eliminate it.
During the hearing, it was also argued that the government budget should be used for important works like building houses for the people. Instead of building shelter homes for dogs, it would be more appropriate to focus on measures to control their population.
