Things are changing rapidly in the world of AI and robotics and China seems to be taking the lead in this matter. Apart from managing traffic on the roads, robots have started being used for patrolling the streets. A company named EngineAI here has prepared a robot like Terminator, which is patrolling the streets. It has been named PM01 and has been seen roaming in Nashan District of Shenzhen.
Deployment will happen after trial
In the video shared on X, it can be seen that this robot is walking ahead of two policemen. From this it is being estimated that this robot is being trialled. Till now no information has been received as to when it will be included in the police force for patrolling. However, many people are uncomfortable with the look of this robot. It looks like Terminator and many people are calling it scary.

Robots engaged in handling traffic
Many companies of the world, including Elon Musk’s Tesla, are currently engaged in making robots, but Chinese companies have started using robots in the real world. The AiMOGA company here has deployed RoboCop intelligent police robot in collaboration with the local administration. This robot, which looks like a traffic policeman, has 6 HD cameras and helps the policemen during peak times. Along with this, robots have also been installed here to catch those breaking traffic rules and to help pedestrians cross the road. Along with the camera, this robot is also equipped with an intelligent voice system. It can be paired with traffic lights, so that it can also be used to manage traffic. Its trial is going on in many cities of China.
