The ongoing war continues in the Middle East. Meanwhile, there is a crisis of commercial gas cylinders in Bengaluru. Hotels will remain closed tomorrow i.e. Tuesday (10 March). This has been a big blow to the city’s food industry and everyday commuters. Bengaluru Hotels Association has announced that hotels will be closed across the city from tomorrow.
The association issued a statement
This decision has been taken due to the sudden stoppage of supply of commercial LPG cylinders, due to which thousands of hotels and restaurants have become unable to continue their operations. According to the press statement issued by the association, the oil companies had earlier assured uninterrupted supply of gas for at least 70 days, but due to the sudden stoppage of supply, the hotel industry is in serious trouble.
Lakhs of people may face problems
Due to this decision, lakhs of people of the city, especially office going employees and commuters, may have to face problems in food arrangements. Hotel owners have demanded the government and oil companies to immediately restore gas supply so that business can return to normal.
