After the name of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri surfaced in the Epstein files, the main opposition party in Parliament, Congress, is demanding his resignation. At the same time, now the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday (February 14, 2026) has accused former Union Minister Kapil Sibal in the same matter and sought answers from Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.
BJP seeks answer from Rahul Gandhi regarding Kapil Sibal
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged that during an event in America in 2010, former Congress leader Kapil Sibal had received an award funded by Jeffrey Epstein, convicted of sexual crimes. BJP has demanded an answer from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for the award given to Kapil Sibal.
At the same time, when Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal was questioned about these allegations, he completely rejected this claim of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), calling it nonsense.
Along with Sibal, Sam Pitroda is also on BJP’s target.
BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari shared a post regarding this matter on social media platform X on Saturday (February 14, 2026). In the post, Bhandari said, ‘Former Union Minister Kapil Sibal has been seen as very close to the Gandhi family for a long time. He received an award in 2010 funded by sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Apart from Kapil Sibal, the Indian spokesperson has made allegations against Sam Pitroda, President of the foreign unit of the Congress Party. Pradeep Bhandari said that Sam Pitroda was also associated with the same group at that time.
