Congress has announced the campaign committee for the Kerala assembly elections. This committee will handle the election campaign in the state. Congress has also entrusted important responsibility to Thiruvananthapuram MP and former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor. The party has made Ramesh Chennithala the chairman of the campaign committee and Shashi Tharoor as the vice-chairman.
The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has issued an official statement in this regard on Thursday (February 12, 2026). In the statement, the party said that Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge has approved the proposal of the Campaign Committee and Manifesto Committee of the State Congress Committee for the assembly elections to be held in Kerala, which comes into effect with immediate effect.

Congress party has made Ramesh Chennithala the chairman of the campaign committee. Along with this, Shashi Tharoor, four-time Lok Sabha MP from Thiruvananthapuram, has been appointed Vice President and Shafi Parambil has been appointed Convenor. Apart from this, Hibi Eden, Rosie M. John, CR Mahesh, Mathew Kujahalanadan, Ramya Haridas, M. Liju and Dipti Mary Varghese have been appointed as members.

At the same time, Congress Party has made Benny Behanan the chairman of the Manifesto Committee. Along with this, Kodikkunnil Suresh has been made the vice president. Apart from this, Dean Kuriakose and advocate JB Mather have been appointed as members.
