North-East is Ashtalakshmi for NDA government: Narendra Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the NDA government considers Northeast as Ashtalakshmi. His government is emphasizing on promoting infrastructure in Assam. He said that this is his first visit to Assam after the presentation of the Union Budget in Parliament.

He said that the Union Budget was presented a few days ago. This is my first North-East visit after the budget. North East which Congress has ignored. It is our priority and we are dedicated to its development. For us, Northeast is our Ashtalakshmi. We have laid emphasis on North-East to make it economically independent.
He said that Congress refuses to accept India as a country. Those who do not show even the slightest respect towards Mother India can never work for the country.
Highways are being built in place of bad infrastructure, aircraft are landing: Narendra Modi
Accusing Congress, PM Modi said that earlier when North-East was mentioned, people were reminded of poor infrastructure. Today highways are being built here. Not only vehicles can run, but aircraft can also land. This is a proud moment. This is the changing spirit of Assam.
PM Modi said that the biggest honor of his life is to be a BJP worker. He said, whatever heights BJP has achieved today, the credit for it goes to our party workers. Our faith is in the organization. Therefore, it is a matter of good fortune to honor such a large number of workers. We are connected by a mantra. That is the mantra. Long live Mother India.

PM pays tribute to security personnel who lost their lives in Pulwama
Apart from this, PM Modi also paid tribute to the security personnel who lost their lives in Pulwama. He said that today is the anniversary of Pulwama attack.
