Team India’s star batsman Rinku Singh is currently going through the most difficult phase of his life. His father Khanchand Singh died on Friday due to stage-4 cancer. He was battling cancer for a long time. According to the family, Khanchand Singh was suffering from advanced stage cancer for the last several months and was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Greater Noida. However, despite all efforts, his condition could not improve and he breathed his last on Friday. Due to which there is a wave of mourning in the entire family. Cricket world expressed grief
Former Team India spinner Harbhajan Singh expressed deep condolences to Rinku Singh and his family through social media. He said, “I am deeply saddened to hear the news of the demise of Shri Khanchand Singh ji, who was Rinku Singh’s father. This is a very difficult time for Rinku and his family. Still, he is fulfilling his responsibilities during the T20 World Cup. My thoughts are with him and his family. May Waheguru give peace to the departed soul and give strength to the family to bear this loss.”
At the same time, a condolence message was also issued by BCCI. BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla termed the demise of Khanchand Singh as extremely sad and prayed to give courage to Rinku Singh and his family in this difficult time.
Had left for home after taking a break from the tournament
Rinku Singh left for home as soon as he got information about his father’s serious condition. He returned before the important match against Zimbabwe on 26 February. Now the family has informed that the last rites of Khanchand Singh will be performed in Aligarh, in which Rinku Singh will also attend.
