Delhi’s Patiala Court has commented on the shirtless demonstration by Youth Congress leaders in the premises of India AI Impact Summit 2026. The court has termed it as not a legitimate protest. Also said that this is an open attack on public order. This has harmed the diplomatic image of the country. Judicial Magistrate Ravi has made this comment. Four IYC activists arrested for protesting at Bharat Mandapam were produced in the court.
The court has sent all the accused to five-day custody for questioning them. He is from remote areas of Bihar, UP and Telangana. Due to this, the risk of them absconding is higher. The court has said that the matter has increased further due to the links of external conspiracy found in the initial investigation.

It said that the demonstration has not only endangered the sanctity of the event, but has also endangered the diplomatic image of the country. The accused have been accused of infiltrating the high security area during the AI ​​Summit 2026. This is an international conclave. Delegates and big people from all over the world come here.
The order said that the protesters were allegedly wearing T-shirts with objectionable slogans like India-US trade deal compromised. He was shouting slogans loudly. Government employees were hindered from doing their work. Attacked the policemen. Due to this he suffered serious injuries.
Investigation has revealed that the accused may be absconding. Apart from this, digital footprints, financial trails and disclosures of co-accused may be tampered with. Citing a decision of the Supreme Court given in 1980, the Magistrate has said that the right to bail should protect the integrity of the investigation, especially the integrity of the charge sheet.

Apart from this, it is said that there should be a strict investigation into the alleged crimes. They pose a serious threat to public order and state security on the international stage. Under BNS sections 121 and 61(2), there can be a punishment of three years. Keeping these things in mind, the application for police custody remand of all the four accused is approved for five days i.e. till 25th February. On Friday, the police arrested National Secretary of Youth Congress from Bihar Krishna Hari, State Secretary from Bihar Kundan Yadav, State President from UP Ajay Kumar and Narasimha Yadav from Telangana during the protest.
