If you have an iPhone or any other Apple product, then there is a danger of cyber attack on it. In view of this, the government agency Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a high risk warning. It says that many security bugs have been found in Apple’s software ecosystem. This warning has been issued for iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Safari browser and Vision Pro etc.
What is the threat to Apple devices?
According to the warning of CERT-In, many such flaws have been found in Apple’s operating system, which attackers can take advantage of. With their help, attackers can bypass the security of your device and access sensitive data and install such malware in your device, which will cause it to crash again and again. CERT-In has described this threat as high-severity, which means that not only individual but also organizational users are not safe from it.
These Apple devices are at risk
According to the warning, devices running versions older than iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 18.7.3 are at risk of attack. Similarly, this threat is looming on macOS Tahoe versions older than 26.2, macOS Sequoia versions older than 15.7.3, macOS Sonoma older than 14.8.3, tvOS older than 26.2, watchOS older than 26.2, visionOS older than 26.2 and Safari versions older than 26.2.
Users will have to do this work
CERT-In has asked Apple users to update their devices immediately. In the latest update, Apple has released security patches to fix the bug. In such a situation, as soon as you update your device, these bugs will be fixed and the user does not need to worry about cyber security. Experts say that to keep your devices safe from any kind of threat, always keep them updated. Also, apps should also be updated regularly.
