The pregnancy announcement was made on February 29, 2024, through posts on their respective social media handles. Deepika Padukone is currently in her second trimester, and the due date for the arrival of their baby is September 2024.
The announcement post shared by the couple featured the caption “September 2024” alongside adorable motifs of baby clothes, baby shoes, and balloons, symbolizing their excitement about the upcoming addition to their family.
Speculations regarding Deepika Padukone’s pregnancy had been circulating earlier, fueled by observations that she might be hiding her baby bump during the 77th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA). Deepika, adorned in a couture saree and custom jewelry designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, attended the event where she reportedly concealed her pregnancy.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh first met on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela.’ After dating for five years, they tied the knot in November 2018. In previous interviews, Deepika expressed her and Ranveer’s love for children, looking forward to the day when they would start their own family.
She mentioned in an interview with Vogue, “Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family.” Deepika emphasized the importance of family values in their lives, stating, “My family keeps me grounded, and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children.”
