Delhi Lashkar Module: Lashkar module caught in Delhi revealed – Network to terrorize India was running from Bangladesh

Security agencies have made a big disclosure regarding a module of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) captured in Delhi. Investigation has revealed that the alleged handler of this module is Shabbir Ahmed Lone, who had made his base in Bangladesh and was planning terrorist activities in India from there.

According to sources, Shabbir Ahmed Lone was in direct contact with Lashkar chief Hafiz Saeed and terrorist Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi. It is being told that Hafiz Saeed’s code name Chacha Ji and Lakhvi’s code name Taaya Ji were used within the terrorist network.

Activity in terrorist activities

Investigation has also revealed that it was Abu Alkama who activated Shabbir in terrorist activities. Around the year 2005, Abu Alkama had allegedly prepared Shabbir for jihad. At that time, Abu Alkama was said to be associated with Hafiz Saeed’s close network. According to intelligence sources, Shabbir had made his base in Bangladesh, but after his release from jail in 2019, he kept coming and going to India. It is being told that he used to travel through the hilly border of Bangladesh. Anti-India posters put up in Delhi and Kolkata are said to be linked to this module. These posters were printed in Kolkata and their PDF file was sent by Shabbir from Bangladesh.

Plan to call Bangladeshi citizens to Kolkata

According to sources, on the instructions of Shabbir, the module had taken a house on the outskirts of Kolkata on rent for Rs 8,000 per month. Shabbir had sent an amount of more than Rs 80 thousand to buy weapons and there were plans to send more money. The module members were in touch with Shabbir through the Signal app. Malda’s Umar Farooq used to talk to him the most. Investigative agencies claim that Shabbir was planning to call 6 Bangladeshi citizens caught from Tamil Nadu to Kolkata. According to the alleged plan, these people were to be sent back to Bangladesh after carrying out terrorist attacks.

Active network of ISI exists

According to intelligence agencies, Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI has an active network in Bangladesh and many terrorist organizations have established their roots there. These are said to include radical organizations like Ansar Bangla Team (which is considered to be linked to Al-Qaeda), Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), New JMB (which is linked to ISIS), Islamic Student Camp. Apart from this, agencies are also keeping an eye on the activities of organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Harkat-ul-Jihad-e-Islami (HUJI). Security agencies are thoroughly investigating this entire network and vigilance has been increased in various states to foil possible terrorist conspiracies.
