The 14th edition of Delhi Literature Festival has started from Friday at Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts (IGNCA), Delhi. This literary fair will continue for the next three days, where a beautiful combination of books, writers, art and culture will be seen. This special program was inaugurated by Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijendra Gupta. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Vijendra Gupta said that literature is not limited to just stories and books, but it gives direction to the society to think and understand. He said that literature keeps us connected to our culture and civilization and shows the right path to the new generation.
Spanish Ambassador Juan Antonio March Pujol was also present on this occasion. With his presence this program got international recognition. Festival chairperson Bharti Bhargava said that the objective of this event is not just to talk about development, but also to preserve our cultural heritage and take it forward. He told that positive change can be brought in the society through literature.
writers got respect
During the program, tribute was paid to famous Hindi writer late Vinod Kumar Shukla. After this, ‘Author Awards 2026’ was organized in the evening. In this, writers of different languages ​​were honored for their excellent writing. Awards were given in a total of 13 categories. New and emerging writers also got a chance to express their views on this platform, which increased the enthusiasm of young writers. The first day ended with a special session by Acharya Prashant. A large number of people attended this session and listened to his words carefully.

Delhi Literature Festival will continue till 8 February. In the coming days, famous writers and poets like Seema Anand, Neelotpal Mrinal and Shambhu Shikhar will share their creations and thoughts with the people. There will be discussion on books, recitation of poems and exchange of ideas.
