DGP changed in Delhi, Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh, know who got the responsibility?

The Union Home Ministry has made a major administrative reshuffle in the Union Territory of Arunachal Pradesh. New DGPs have been appointed in all three union territories. In the instructions issued from the ministry, it has been said that the current DGP of Arunachal Pradesh, Anand Mohan has been made the DGP of Delhi. Ladakh DGP Shiv Darshan Singh Jamwal has been given the command of DGP of Arunachal Pradesh. Mukesh Singh has been given the command of DGP Ladakh. The instructions have been made effective immediately.

Which batch of IPS are the three DGPs?

Anand Mohan is a 1994 batch IPS officer. He was holding the responsibility of the post of DGP of Arunachal Pradesh. Apart from him, Shiv Darshan Singh is also a 1995 batch IPS officer. He was holding the command of Ladakh DGP. Mukesh Singh is an IPS officer of 1996, he was in the Central Deputation Department, he has now been given the responsibility of Ladakh DGP.

Haryana DGP also changed

DGP has also been changed in Haryana. Senior IPS officer Ajay Singhal has been made the new Director General of Police of Haryana. The selection committee of the Union Public Service Commission had sent the names of three officers to the Haryana government after Wednesday’s meeting. These included the names of Shatrujit Kapoor of 1990 batch, Ajay Singhal of 1992 batch and IPS Alok Mittal of 1993 batch.

The state government had selected 1992 IPS officer Ajay Singhal for the post of DGP. After the retirement of OP Singh, instructions have been given to make Ajay Singhal the DGP of Haryana.

DGP is the head of the state police.

DGP is called Director General of Police in Hindi. He is the head of the police force of any state. From administrative point of view, every state is divided into regional divisions. This is called range. Each police range is under the administrative control of the Inspector General of Police. A range includes several districts.
