Bollywood’s He-Man i.e. Dharmendra passed away on 24th November. After his demise, Deol family and Hema Malini organized separate prayer meetings for him. After which the rift between the two families came to the fore. Now writer Shobha De has claimed that after Dharmendra’s death, the Deol family has completely sidelined Hema Malini. Despite this, Hema Malini has maintained dignity.
In a recent interview given to Barkha Dutt, Shobha De said- ‘This must have been a very complex and difficult decision. His first family has completely separated him from everything in which he had spent 45 years of his life. Whom he had cherished and loved, who had enriched his life.
‘I think he played it with complete dignity…’
Shobha De further said- ‘He had two daughters from this marriage. It must have been very painful, but he kept it limited to his personal life. The way he handled it and whenever he did any public event, I think he did it with complete dignity, not just for himself but also for the person he lost. Hema ji herself is an influential personality, so her choosing dignity instead of showing her superiority through public display, says a lot about her character.
‘Media their every tear and every sob…’
Shobha De says- ‘She could have easily captured those emotional moments after Dharam ji’s death. The media wanted to cover his every tear and every sob, wanted to invade his privacy and completely snatch away his dignity, which obviously means a lot to him.
