Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, released in December, broke all box office earning records and took the record of Bollywood’s highest-grossing film. At the same time, the craze for the sequel of this film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is also increasing among the people. This much awaited film of the year is ready to create new records with its release in theaters across the world on Thursday, March 19. Its paid previews are starting from the evening of Wednesday, March 18.
Advance booking of Dhurandhar 2 is in full swing
Let us tell you that there is a lot of buzz about Dhurandhar 2 and its tickets are being sold rapidly in big cities, and its demand is especially highest in the premium format. The film has made record breaking earnings through advance booking for its preview show and full flagged pre sale itself, which is an indication of its strong opening at the box office.
According to SACNL data, the film has collected a whopping Rs 44.25 crore for the premiere (March 18) show (including block seats). It has earned more than Rs 33.60 crore from advance booking for its first day (19 March). In which more than 7 lakh tickets have been sold (including block seats) in more than 17,000 shows. Whereas the total overseas pre-sales for the weekend have crossed Rs 75 crore. Overall, it has earned more than Rs 153 crore so far in pre-sales (including block seats).
Number of shows increased
Seeing people’s craze for the film, many theaters have increased the number of film shows, including late night and early morning shows, to meet the huge demand from the audience. With its grand scale, interesting story and huge expectations from the audience, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is all set for a big opening. On the back of huge advance bookings and great buzz, this film is on its way to becoming not just a sequel but a major event at the box office.
