‘Diplomatic relations with Pakistan ended…’ Afghanistan’s Taliban government warned amid the war on the border.

Amidst the increasing tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan, a big statement has come out from Kabul. The Afghan government has clearly indicated that if Pakistan’s military action continues, then steps can be taken up to breaking diplomatic relations between the two countries. This warning has come at a time when conflict has been going on between the armies of the two countries on the Durand Line for the last several days.

Pakistan High Commission warned to close
In the press conference, Afghanistan’s Deputy Spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat said that if Pakistan continues attacks against Afghanistan, Pakistan’s High Commission located in Kabul can be closed. He alleged that civilians, women and children are being targeted in Pakistani action. Fitrat said that Afghanistan can take strict diplomatic steps to protect its sovereignty.

Struggle on Durand Line for five days
Heavy firing has been taking place on the 2,600 km long Durand Line between Afghanistan and Pakistan for the last five days. According to the Afghan Defense Ministry, their army retaliated by targeting several important Pakistani military bases. These include Ali-Sher district of Khost, Jalalabad, border areas of Kandahar and areas related to Kabul.

Officials say that the intensity of the fighting has reduced somewhat compared to the initial days, but the situation is still tense. This conflict started last month when Pakistan claimed to target terrorists inside the Afghan border. After this, the Taliban-led Afghan army started retaliating.

Claim to destroy Pakistani tank
On Monday, the Afghan Defense Ministry claimed that Afghan soldiers in Paktika province destroyed a Pakistani armored tank, which was firing shells towards Afghan territory. Ministry spokesperson Inayatullah Khowarazmi said that so far more than 100 Pakistanis have been killed and the Afghan flag has been hoisted on more than 25 military posts.

Attempt to attack Bagram Air Base
According to Afghan police, Pakistani fighter planes tried to bomb the Bagram Air Base near Kabul, but the Afghan air defense system foiled it. There is no news of any casualty in this incident. Bagram Air Base has previously been a major center of the US Army.
