DMK offered 32 seats to Congress in Tamil Nadu, party sent proposal to Rahul Gandhi, said- alliance with TVK

Assembly elections are going to be held in Tamil Nadu this year, due to which political turmoil has started. DMK and Congress have started trying for a fresh alliance in the state. This time the elections are not considered easy for DMK in Tamil Nadu because actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) and BJP have also started preparations.

DMK offered 32 seats to Congress

From the statement of the Congress leader, it seems that if the party forms an alliance in Tamil Nadu, it will want maximum seats. Congress MP Manickam Tagore said that the party not only wants alliance seats but also wants a stake in the government if it wins. It is being told that Congress has set a target of 40 seats for the alliance. However, DMK is said to be ready to give 32 seats. Later Congress changed its demand to 38 seats.

Rahul Gandhi’s party is convincing for alliance with TVK

According to India Today report, the Tamil Nadu Congress leadership is also trying to convince Rahul Gandhi for a possible alliance with Vijay’s TVK party. Manickam Tagore’s statement has come out after the initiative of alliance with TVK, after which speculations about the new political equation in Tamil Nadu started increasing.

‘Rahul Gandhi and Vijay are good friends’

TVK spokesperson Felix Gerald said that their leader Vijay and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi are good friends. He claimed that the possibility of an alliance with Congress is very high. However, he warned that there were so many internal issues within the Tamil Nadu Congress leadership that the talks could be delayed. TVK leader Nirmal Kumar said that any decision regarding the alliance will be taken only after talks with party chief Vijay. He said, ‘Our leaders will consult and then make an announcement regarding the alliance. There are still about two months left for the elections.
