US Israel Iran War: Zimbabwe cricket team is already out of T20 World Cup 2026. In the final match of the World Cup, it had to face defeat at the hands of South Africa. After that Zimbabwe has to return home, but due to the bad conditions in the Middle East, the Zimbabwean team is stuck in India.
In response to the air strike by America and Israel on Iran, Iran also retaliated against the American forces present in the Gulf. This struggle has affected air travel in Dubai and other countries of the Middle East. Zimbabwe also had to return home by flying over the Dubai area.
After the 5-wicket defeat against South Africa, Zimbabwe coach Justin Simmons said, “You still believe that everyone’s focus is on the match. The match is an afterthought. Everyone knows that they have to go home, when will they go home, how will they go home, such talks are going on within the team. There is no clarity on the topic of travel.”
Coach Simmons told that the Zimbabwean team was going to leave in three different groups, but there is no clarity yet regarding when and how they will return home. One player of the team, Graeme Creamer lives in Dubai. The Zimbabwe team and its fans are considering the possibility of going to Zimbabwe via Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.
Let us tell you that South Africa also has to return home through the same route. However, South Africa is going to stay in India for a few more days. Because it has gone to the semi-finals and if it reaches the final, South Africa will return home after about a week.
