Actor Atharva Karve, who worked as a child artist in films like Harishchandrachi Factory and Balgandharva and most recently in ‘Ek Mahanayak-Dr. Played the role of young Dr. BR Ambedkar in ‘BR Ambedkar’, is going to marry Marathi actress Sakshi Mahajan on 6th February in Pune. The wedding will be celebrated in a private manner only with family and close friends.

Regarding the wedding preparations, Atharva says, ‘Along with the main ceremony, we will also celebrate pre-wedding rituals like Mehndi, Haldi and Sangeet-Engagement. Considering the shooting schedule, we decided to keep these functions in a small and special way over two days.
Let us tell you, this couple came close to each other during the shooting of their Marathi show ‘Vithu Mauli’ in 2017. Atharva recalls, ‘Sakshi played the character of my wife in that show. That’s where we met for the first time and for me it was the first time that I was getting married on-screen.
He further said, ‘Mahesh sir jokingly said that he saw me growing up and now he is giving me a chance to get married on TV. We never thought that the girl I was marrying on screen would become my wife in real life. The proposal was also simple and special. I met her at the airport with a small flower and chocolate and asked her for a relationship. Atharva says, ‘Sakshi immediately said yes. She is a very talented actress and has a great sense of humor. I am a peace-loving person and he is very outspoken, and everything seems light and easy with him. We understand each other even without words.
