There was a dispute over the seat of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi in the parade on the occasion of India’s 77th Republic Day. Congress MP Tariq Anwar raised questions on this and said why Rahul Gandhi was not made to sit in the front row. He said, ‘Rahul Gandhi was not made to sit in the front row on the occasion of Republic Day. This is a protocol of the sad leader of the opposition. He is also called Shadow Prime Minister.
‘The entire tradition of the country is being destroyed’
The Congress MP said, ‘Ever since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, all the traditions of the country are being ended. It would never have happened that the leader of the main opposition party would have been made to sit in the second or third row in such a government function. Since we have adopted the British pattern to a great extent, the Leader of the Opposition is called the Shadow Prime Minister.
