In Delhi today (23 January) morning, ED raided several locations of Luthra Brothers. ED action has revealed that Luthra Brothers have a network of 42 shell companies. Illegal transactions took place in all these companies. ED raids revealed that all these companies are registered at the same address in Delhi. Illegal (black) money was converted into white by embezzling crores of rupees through these companies.
According to information received from sources, ED has also come to know about many illegal transactions during the investigation. ED is also preparing to crack down on many more associates of Luthra Brothers. The offices of Luthra Brothers in North Delhi are being searched from where shell companies are suspected to be operating. At the same time, those locations in Goa and offices related to the club are also being searched from where financial transactions took place.
Search at 8-9 places in Delhi and Goa
The focus of the Central Investigation Agency is to collect those documents and digital evidence which can reveal the source of illegal funds. A senior official said that searches are being conducted at 8-9 places in Delhi and Goa, which also include Outram Lanes (Kingsway Camp), Tattvam Villa and many places in Gurugram.
The official said that along with the raids in Delhi-NCR, raids are also being conducted at several locations of the then Sarpanch Roshan Redkar and Panchayat Secretary Raghuveer Bagkar in Goa. There are many allegations against both of them including issuing and facilitating illegal trade licenses and NOCs.
25 people died in Goa nightclub fire
Let us tell you that 25 people were killed in the fire in Goa nightclub, while 6 people were injured. Around 100 people were present in the club at the time of the incident, many of whom could not come out. Preliminary investigation revealed that the fire spread due to the highly flammable material used in the decoration. However, during the investigation, serious negligence and violation of fire safety rules were also found.
