Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has reacted after the Supreme Court’s strict comment on the chapter related to ‘Corruption in Judiciary’ in the NCERT book of Class 8. He said that the government has full respect for the judiciary and the instructions of the court will be followed. He also said that the responsibility of those who prepared the controversial chapter will be fixed and action will be taken against them.
Supreme Court banned
Expressing objection to this chapter, the Supreme Court has directed to ban the book, seize the printed copies and remove the digital version. The court called it ‘objectionable’ and said that it could be an attempt to tarnish the image of the judiciary.
